Janette's symptoms and reactions to treatment haven't change much since I last wrote. Her pain level is much lower. If she takes her nausea medication, she's much less nauseous and can eat. She's been coughing and choking a little more but she also hasn't been drinking as much of her homeopathic cocktail. Right now she needs to do more, eat more and drink more. But, of course, doing so is not easy with chemotherapy and radiation.

- On April 9, 2009 after a biopsy and a PET scan, Janette was diagnosed with lung cancer. The cancer is in many lympth nodes in her chest and lower neck, some lympth nodes around her lungs and a small mass inside the lung. The cancer also in some of her bones-- near the tailbone, lumbar, both sides of pelvis, both sides of colarbone and both cheeks. One of the affected lymph nodes is pressing on the nerve to the vocal cord and has caused vocal cord paralysis on her right side. [The cancer in the back is causing reflective pain in her groin when she moves that leg and some pain in her back--this is no longer true!] The cancer is inoperable and Janette is receiving radiation and chemotherapy to stop its spread and kill what's there.
